ADEN, The Sports League of the University of Aden was launched today, with support from the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, on the occasion of the Year of Zayed 2018.
The launch was attended by Dr. Al Khedr Lasour, President of the University of Aden, and a number of his deputies and deans of the university’s colleges, as well as Tayeb Jaber Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of the ERC in Aden.
Dr. Lasour welcomed the ERC representatives, thanked the UAE for supporting the University of Aden, and the ERC team and its activities that aim to encourage students and develop their skills.
The teams of the College of Administrative Sciences and the College of Pharmacy competed during the launch, which ended with the former’s victory by a score of nine goals to nil.
Some 23 teams from the university’s colleges will compete in the league.
The league is supported by the ERC based on the agreement that was signed by both sides last week during the inauguration of the Year of Zayed 2018, which included several sports, cultural and arts activities.
