Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind two remarkable regenerative tourism projects, proudly announces that its flagship destination, The Red Sea, has been accepted into Virtuoso’s exclusive portfolio of luxury travel partners. Virtuoso is renowned for its collection of over 2,300 preferred suppliers in 100 countries, representing the epitome of luxury travel experiences.

Scheduled to welcome its inaugural guests in 2023, The Red Sea joins Virtuoso’s prestigious network of world-class hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, and other esteemed travel entities. These esteemed partners are recognized for delivering unparalleled services and experiences and for offering exceptional benefits and unique opportunities to their discerning clientele.

The Group CEO of Red Sea Global, John Pagano, expresses enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Nestled amidst desert canyons, dormant volcanoes, and unexplored islands, The Red Sea is pioneering a distinctive bond between luxury tourism and the natural environment. By prioritizing people and the planet, we are enriching the surrounding ecosystem and redefining the concept of responsible development. Through our collaboration with Virtuoso, we will showcase the distinctive advantages of regenerative tourism while providing unrivalled guest experiences to travellers worldwide.”

Spanning 28,000 square kilometres of pristine lands and waters on the west coast of Saudi Arabia, The Red Sea will host renowned luxury brands such as Ritz Carlton Reserve and Miraval Resorts, which will mark their first Middle East operations. Guests staying at these iconic hotels can indulge in diverse activities encompassing retail, sports, entertainment, health, and wellness. From desert safaris and spa days to sailing and diving, The Red Sea offers an array of captivating experiences.

A significant aspect of this partnership is The Red Sea’s alignment with Virtuoso’s longstanding commitment to advancing sustainable tourism principles and practices. Virtuoso has prioritized sustainability for over a decade, recognizing individuals and entities that lead the way through awards and editorial coverage. They have also established a Sustainability Council, provided related training and professional development for their affiliated travel advisors, and authored the latest Virtuoso Sustainability White Paper.

Virtuoso’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Partnerships, Cory Hagopian, emphasizes the congruence between Red Sea Global’s approach to luxury development and enhancing natural capital with Virtuoso’s mission to drive the transition to green tourism. Hagopian states, “As travellers increasingly seek destinations that combine opulence with eco-friendly activities, The Red Sea is poised to firmly establish Saudi Arabia on the global tourism map.”

By partnering with Virtuoso, Red Sea Global gains direct access to the leading leisure travel agencies across North and Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East. This collaboration positions The Red Sea as an enticing destination for luxury travellers around the world.
