DUBAI, Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, Empower, the world’s largest district cooling services provider, recorded a rise in its number of customers to 85,000 by the end of 2017, compared to approximately 65,000 customers at the end of 2016.
Empower highlighted that the increase in its number of customers is due to their realisation of the importance of district cooling services, which has become a key component to meet air-conditioning requirements in cities, besides electricity generation, transportation and other utility services.

Bin Shafar expects 2018 to witness an increase in Empower’s number of customers, especially in light of the increasing demand for district cooling services and the signing of agreements with developers and building owners to provide district cooling services.
